THE ROOF COMES DOWN AT THE UNDERWATER STUDIO
(BUT FIRST IT GOES UP)
When
Lewis Live the production company behind shooting the Police bravery Awards for
2009 need a location to shoot a reconstruction of a dramatic rescue by two
Humberside police officers they came to The Underwater Studio for
its unique facility in being able to remove the roof. This is the only
Underwater Studio in the which can be converted from a closed in underwater
stage to an open air facility in just 1 hour. Other studios have copied the
concept of The underwater Studio but none have the removable roof option. The
removable roof was the only option available when shooting the Bourne Supremacy.
For the Police bravery awards the studio also had to colour the water green with a special dye and construct a pontoon to match one being shot on at St. Katherine's dock, where the crew from the studio also supplied a safety boat and crew.
